Our Programs

In Sonepur district, we have successfully run six community centres through community support. These centres aim to provide a solid and holistic educational foundation to children from rural and tribal communities. Many of them are first-generation learners. In the learning centre we focus upon the integrated development of the children, and working on quality education and learning by developing their skills as well as being a mentor for them to complete their education successfully. The Centre Facilitators are involved in this process, most of them are the local youth from that particular community or from the nearby villages.

The idea is to create a couple of demonstrative (Model) schools operating under the same conditions, with the same set of resources and similar constraints but still providing quality education and learning opportunities to children with due contribution of all the stakeholders (parents, community, teachers and the Government  officials). These few performing schools shall act as catalysts for other schools and people, providing them required inspiration, demonstration and experiences to start contributing in their own capacities towards transformation of education in their own vicinity and of the entire district.

Our Goals:
  1. Improved Student Attendance
  2. Improved Student Performance.
  3. Effective Teaching Learning Process
  4. Improved Parents engagement
  5. Strengthen the eco-system
  6. Promotion Library in School
  7. Empowerment of School Management Committee. (SMC)

Aims of the community libraries to provide rich reading resources for all and an opportunity through read aloud, storytelling art etc. Where both the children and the youth are improve their creative thinking and deeper imagination. Another crucial objective is to bridge the gap between community and school through library programs. Also we develop locally relevant stories, games, contextual pedagogy wit student, youth, community and teachers.

This intervention is intent to focus on youth development and youth for development and create a pool of locally trained resources who can contribute in the education system and overall development of their communities by providing them one to one mentoring.

Through our partnership with Goonj CFW, We endeavour to build awareness and empower the community’s people. We are committed to nurturing a connection rooted in empathy, dignity, and mutual appreciation, bridging the gap between the challenges faced by the less privileged and the affluent.
